Meet Edna, Our Founder
Mrs. Edna Velma Cranklebaum began her teaching career in 1956 with a pencil skirt, a fresh perm, and a gradebook heavier than most small children. Armed with clipboards, carbon paper, and a purse full of hard candies, she laid the foundation for modern special education before it was even called that. For over four decades, Edna reigned supreme in Room 7B, where routines were sacred, chaos was tamed, and every student had a place—though not always a chair. She retired in 1998, returned in 1999 “just to help out,” and has been lurking near your data binders ever since.
Now, as the founder of Caseload Chaos, Mrs. Cranklebaum lends her legacy, wisdom, and side-eye to a brand that dares to celebrate the messy, magical, meltdown-filled lives of special educators.
